《本经逢原》紫荆皮·

苦平无毒。苦如胆而紫浓者良。

发明紫荆，木之精也，入手足厥阴血分。能破宿血，下五淋，通小肠，解诸毒。治伤寒赤膈，黄耳，活血消肿，为杖疮必用之药。治痈疽流注诸毒，冷热不明者用紫荆皮、独活、赤芍、白芷、白蜡炒为末，葱汤调敷。痛甚筋不舒者加乳香甚验。
