《本经逢原》竹黄·

甘寒无毒。

发明竹黄出大竹之中，津气结成。其味功用与竹沥同，而无寒滑之害。凉心经，去风热，为小儿惊痫，风热痰涌失音，治痰清热之要药。以其生天竺国，故名天竺黄。今药肆多烧诸骨及葛粉杂入，不可不辨。
