味甘，微温。主和中，下气。叶主霍乱吐下不止。

人家种之于篱垣，其荚蒸食甚美，无正用其豆者。叶乃单行用之。患寒热病者，不可食之。

〔谨案〕此北人名鹊豆，以其黑而间白故也。
