《金匮悬解》虚劳十二·

虚劳里急，诸不足，黄芪建中汤主之。

虚劳之病，脾阳陷败，风木枯槁，郁迫不升，是以里急。木中温气，阳气之根也，生气之陷，原于阳根之虚。黄芪建中汤，胶饴、甘、枣，补脾精而缓里急，姜、桂、芍药，达木郁而清风燥，黄芪补肝脾之气，以培阳根也。
